The Center of all Feelings lies in the Heart

The Center of all Feelings lies in the Heart

Allah says in the noble Quran:
“The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts become fearful, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon their Lord they rely” (Anfal:2)

The heart is the center of love and hatred. It is the center of fear, anxiety, peace, comfort, security and serenity.

“Those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah – Islamic Monotheism), and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah, Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest” [Ar-Ra’d, 28]

Our heart is where lies our faith. A heart can be alive and healthy or it can be dead and sick. A heart is healthy with true faith and the constant performance of good deeds, including Dhikr, reading Quran, having good assumption of Allah and full trust in Allah, wanting the best for others…etc. While a diseased heart is one filled with disbelief, hatred, jealousy, envy, hypocrisy, bad deeds….etc.

We as Muslims must always make sure our hearts are protected from developing any sickness by safeguarding our faiths, increasing in good deeds and staying away from that which displeases Allah. Constantly keep your tongues busy with His Remembrance. Seek forgiveness much and follow up bad deeds with good

Frequently ask Allah to keep your heart firm on His religion as we are never safe from falling into disbelief and hypocrisy except by the Mercy of Allah.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Verily, the hearts of all the sons of Adam are between the two fingers out of the fingers of the Compassionate Lord as one heart. He turns that to any (direction) He likes. Then Allahs Messenger (ﷺ) said: “Oh Allah, the Turner of the hearts, turn our hearts to Thine obedience”

May Allah never make us from those whose heart has been hardened against His Remembrance and protect us from the whispers of Shaitan and the fitnah (trials) of this life and next.

“That He (Allah) may make what is thrown in by Shaitan (Satan) a trial for those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy and disbelief)” [Al-Hajj, 53]”

“Woe to those whose hearts are hardened against the remembrance of Allah.” (39:22)

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Beware, There is a piece of flesh in the body if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body becomes good but if it gets spoilt the whole body gets spoilt and that is the heart.” (Al-Bukhari)
