RELATIONSHIP WITH ALLAH

RELATIONSHIP WITH ALLAH

INTRODUCTION

All praise is due to Allah alone; may He send salutations and exalt the mention of the seal of all Prophets and Messengers, our Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu alaihe wasallam, his family and all his companions.

One of the most precious blessings of Allah Almighty is to  enable one of his servants to establish a relationship with him. Can we have a relationship with Allah? What does it mean to have a relationship with Allah? Stop and think for a moment of the happiest time in your life. What about it made you so happy? Can you imagine being with Allah, spending time with Him and talking to him?

As to His closeness, Allah says,

If My servants ask you (O Muhammad) about Me; (tell them that) I am very close, answering the caller (who invokes Me).

[Surat Al-Baqarah, 2:186]

The verse is talk about the closeness of Allah to His servants are numerous.  He is indeed closer to us than we can imagine. He is so close that He knows what suggestions our soul makes. He is Al-Samee‘ (the Hearer) who hears all we say whether that is in open or private, loudly or within ourselves.

Whoever seeks to establish a relationship with Allah ,Allah Almighty opens the doors of His guidance and pleasure for such servants and leads them out of darkness into the light.

Allah says in Surah Al Maida (verse #16 )

“Indeed, Allah guides those who seek His pleasure to the paths of peace through it and brings them out of the darkness into the light by His power, and guides them to the straight path.”

7 Easy Ways To Make Your Relationship With Allah Stronger

Here are some ways through which you can develop your relationship with Allah.

1)KNOWLEDGE OF ALLAH(MA’RAFAH)

We want to refresh our imaan and our belief that who is Allah ((SWT)? Come with me to surah ul Hadid chapter 57 of the Quran where Allah (SWT)  he says introducing Himself) to us:

“He is Allah who has the kingdom of he heavens and the earth. He alone is the one who give life and death . And he is able to do whatever he wishes. Every thing in the heavens the earth glorify Allah and he is the most mighty the most wise.

The first pillar of emaan is belief on Allah and who is Allah our only source of knowdege with regards to Allah is names and attributes! We have no other way of knowing who Allah (SWT) is and that is why our scholars mention that knowledge of Allah is half of Tawheed is (لا الہ الااللہ) (There is no God but Allah )and the other half of Tawheed is worshipping Allah so all of Tawheed revolves around knowing of Allah and then worshipping Allah. Our scholars say nothing increase emaan more than a knowledge of Allah’s names and attributes.

In the Hadith of Rassul Allah (SAW) it’s a Hadith of Abu hurairah (RA) in Sahih Al Bukhari He says, “Allah Has 99 names who ever memories’  them and has encompassed them will be granted Jannah.”

2)SURRENDERING TO ALLAH (SUBMISSION)

We are most blessed to be servants of Allah! It is the greatest honor!

When a servant bows his forehead before Allah, Allah becomes closer to him. The more the servant moves forward, the closer Allah becomes to him.

Therefore, the hadith of Qudsi is:

Thus, the hadith in Qudsi says, “Whoever reaches me with a pillow, I extend one hand towards him, and whoever extends one hand towards me, I extend two hands towards him, and he who walks towards me, I run towards it. “

Allah tells us in another beautiful Qudsi hadith,

Never will My servant draw near to Me with anything more beloved to Me than the religious duties I have enjoined upon him. My servant will keep drawing near to Me with supererogatory works until I love him. When I love him, I become his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes, and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him, and were he to ask for refuge in Me, I would surely grant it to him. I do not hesitate about anything as much as I hesitate about [seizing] the soul of My faithful servant: he hates death and I loathe hurting him. (Bukhari and Muslim)

3)FEAR OF ALLAH (KHISHIYAT)

Fears of Allah accountability should prevail all others fear. Fear of God refers to the state of fear that is in the heart of a servant due to the fear of God Almighty, due to which the servant becomes internally frightened, keeping in view the authority and control of the Almighty. This condition occurs when the servant has attained the perfect knowledge of Allah Almighty. And have complete trust in him and fear him in your heart.

Allah say in chapter 7 verse 154 of the Quran

“Guidance and merciful for those who fear their Lord.”

The essence of Allah Almighty is such a being that it is necessary to fear and keep His fear in one’s heart becuase Allah ever watches over your  actions and deeds what ever you have doing.

4) CLOSER RELATION TO QURAN

Quran is a guidance for all the Muslims. No human being can establish a relationship with Allah without understanding because this is the seal we know the commandments of Allah. Even, reciting Quran, even just one line, can earn you a greater amount of reward. Recently, we aware you about the Facts about Quran, which tells the importance of it in making relationship stronger.

Abdullah ibn Masud said, “Allah  Messenger said,

‘Whoever read the letter from the Book of Allah will receive a hasanah (good deed) from it, and the hasanah is multiplied by ten. And I do not say that Alif -Laam -Meem (considered) as letter, rather Alif is letter , Laam is a letter , Meem is a letter”. ( At -tirmidhi, Ad – darmi).

Our beloved prophet said, that  “Recite the holy Quran as much as we can for it will come as an intercessor for it’s reciter in the day of judgement.”

5) THANK YOU FOR ALLAH WHAT HE GAVE YOU

We should always Thank Allah for whatever he has given us. When a servant gives thanks to Allah, Allah is pleased with him. And remember when you Lord proclaimed in chapter Ibrahim verse 7 of the Quran.

“If you give  thanks (by accepting faith and worshipping none but Allah),I give you more of (my blessing) but if you are thankless, verily my punishment indeed severe.”

There are innumerable blessings of Allah upon man and to be thankful to Allah for these blessings is the source of relationship with Allah.

Thus Allah says:

“And if you wish to count the blessings of Allah, you will not be able to number them. Indeed, man is most unjust and most ungrateful.”

(Ibrahim: 34)

That is why Thanking Allah is a must because He has given you Eyes to see, Body to feel and Legs to walk and so many blessings.

6) REPENTANCE TOWARD ALLAH

Allah says: “Indeed, Allah loves those who repent and He loves those who purify themselves.

However, His  love and mercy are so great that He gives us one chance after another and keeps blessing us so that we might be thankful. He is waiting for our repentance and our coming back to Him.

 Our beloved Prophet said:

“Indeed Allah is happier with the repentance of His servant than any one of you is with finding his lost riding camel [the only mean of survival for the people in the dessert at the time.] (Bukhari and Muslim).

Surely, a loving, merciful, forgiving Allah always has His door open. He is the most generous.

Say: O My Prophet! Say: O My servants who have visited (their) souls, do not despair of the Mercy of Allah, surely Allah forgives all sins. He is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful. “(39:53)

7) DUA

Dua is also a great source of relationship with Allah. Through dua, the servant of Allah can get rid of great troubles.

In the Quran chapter 2 Al baqarah verse # 186 Allah says:

“When my servants ask you about me, you say I am very close. I answer  the prayer of every supplicant whenever he calls me. So, people should also obey me. Take it, and believe in me, that is the cause of their goodness.

An amazingly beautiful and loving God does not leave us without an answer. He tells in the Quran: [Surat Al ‘Imran,3:31]

Say: ‘If you do love Allah, then follow me, Allah will love you and forgive you your sins for Allah is Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful

Therefore, it is known that through dua one attains nearness to Allah. And dua is the act of worship through which one believes in Allah and pays attention to Him.

He left the matter in our hands. It is, therefore, up to us to take it upon ourselves to receive and implement His message.

CONCLUSION

I conclude my works by following words  that The relationship with Allah is the best relationship you can ever have! But how do you do that? The way to develop a relationship with Allah is through talking to him and listening to him. When you are in Salah you are actually talking to him and when you are reading the Qur’an you are listening to His Words. When you read the Qur’an you will feel that Allah is telling you something.

Relationship with Allah is very important for all of us to live peaceful lives. His closeness more than anyone else of His creation. After all, no one is more privileged and honored than Him. We all want Allah’s love but what are the ways to attain that status? It is from the mercy of Allah that He has legislated many deeds through which believers can come closer to Allah, attain His love and earn great rewards.
