Surah al Kahf is the 18th Surah of Quran (The Cave)
There are sound hadiths from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) concerning the virtues of reciting Surat Al-Kahf during the day or night of Jumu`ah (Friday). These include:
“Abu Sa’īd al-Khudri reports that the Prophet (pbuh)said: Whoever recites Sūrah al-Kahf on Jumu’ah (i.e., ‘Friday’ of the pagan world) will have illumination from the light (of the Sūrah) from one Jum’ah to the next.”
(Nasā’i, Baihaqī, Hākim)
“Whoever reads Surat Al-Kahf on the night of Jumu`ah, will have a light that will stretch between him and the Ancient House (the Ka`bah).”
(Ad-Darimi)
Therefore, on Jummah, a Muslim must find time to sit down and read Surah al Kahf and become one of the blessed ones.
