O YOU WHO ARE PATIENT

Bismillah

“Had Allah lifted the veil for his slave and shown him how He handles his affairs for him, and how Allah is more keen for the benefit of the slave than his own self, his heart would have melted out of the love for Allah and would have been torn to pieces out of thankfulness to Allah. Therefore, if the pains of this world tire you do not grieve. For it may be that Allah wishes to hear your voice by way of duaa. So pour out your desires in prostration and forget about it and know; that verily Allah does not forget it.”

“O you who are patient! Bear a little more, just a little more remains.” – Ibn Al Qayyim

We ask Allah to make us from the patients and those who place their full trusts in Him. We may not understand what is happening in our lives and why things happen the way they do, but Allah is the Most Wise and the Best of Planners. He is the Most Merciful and guides us in life to which is best for us. We just need to rely upon Him and accept whatever comes in our path with patience and gratitude because Allah is surely preparing us for something great.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Strange is the affair of the Mu’min (the believer) for there is good for him in every matter and this is not the case with anyone except the believer. If something pleasing befalls him he thanks (Allah) and it becomes better for him. And if something harmful befalls him he is patient (Sabir) and it becomes better for him.” [Muslim]

“But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not.” (2:216)
