HIJAB PROTECTION OR SUFFOCATION?
Hijab protection or suffocation, well if you know that how to value your own self then you’ll get the answer; ‘Protection’.
o In Literal Meaning:-
‘ long, covering till the toes,dignified but not attractive, body shape doesn’t reveal. ‘
- Precious and adorable things are covered: so that dust doesn’t fall on them or no unclean thing can touch them ; like ‘Quran’.
o In Terminological way:-
It’s a way of dress up of Muslim women, which differentiates them from others.
As in Quran Allah Almighty said:
“O Prophet, enjoin your wives and your daughter and the believing women, to draw a part of their outer coverings around them. It is likelier that they will be recognized and not molested. Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful. “
( Surah Alahzab: 59 )
Some people presenting arguments that wearing Hijab is just like to be going again into prehistoric lifestyle. But that’s not correct angle to see that picture.
It’s Islam which is based on modernism. And unfortunately they are us who consider it modernity to be naked dressed, which is the way of ancient and ignorant times.Someone has told a very beautiful thing that if Allah Almighty had not made the Hijab obligatory, the woman would have demanded the Hijab today!
▪ Hijab requirements:-
¤ Hijab is much more than just to be covering your hair, but to cover your modesty.
“Say to the believing woman that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what must ordinarily appear thereof.”
(Quran: 24.31)
¤ It’s a state that a woman adopts infront of non mahrams, so the female clothing must not resemble the man’s clothing .
¤The clothing must hang loose, so that the form of body couldn’t exposed.
¤ Clothing should not for ‘ to be look attractive ‘ towards people, but only for the sake of Divine Pleasure.
We have to understand dear sisters that it’s not narrow- mindedness to be covered up, that are rights. But to consider it suffocation, narrow- mindedness is actually conservative thinking. May Allah be our Helper and may guide us of all Muslims to the right path ,gave us the capability to understand His strategy’s.
