Forgive And Overlook!

Today I wanted to encourage you all to forgive….

📖 ❝….. but whoever pardons and makes reconciliation – his reward is [due] from Allah. Surely He does not love the unjust.❞
{Surah Ash Shuraa 42: Verse 40}

Allah is telling you to let go.
Allah is telling you conquer your nafs and see how I reward you.
Allah is telling you yes you can take revenge you can retribute but if you let go and forgive I will reward you.
Allah is telling you, your reward is on me.

SUBHAN ALLAH!
Do we truly contemplate about what this means?

Have you ever wondered how mighty that reward will be?
Allah is the Majestic, the owner of the heavens and Earth.
What do you reckon will be your reward?
His reward will be equivalent to HIS MIGHT AND JALAAL!
Allah is Dhul Jalaal Wal-Ikram (The Lord of Greatness and of Generosity and Munificence)

Next time if you find it hard and difficult to forgive someone imagine this verse of Quran. This person may take your forgiveness for granted, they may not value it, they may continue to hurt you but because of your deen and eeman you know ALLAH HAS YOUR BACK!
And when Allah is backing you up who else and what else do you need?

Sometimes forgiveness is difficult because we are so duniya focussed. We want justice and we want it now. But can we truly get justice in this world? We need to remember this life is a test and it is cheap and worthless in the sight of Allah. Whilst the hereafter is lasting, majestic and eternal.

📖 ❝….FORGIVE AND OVERLOOK, do you not wish that Allah should forgive you? For Allah is Forgiving, Most Merciful.❞
{Surah An Nur 24: Verse 22}

🏵️ Fā`fū Waşfaĥū – FORGIVE AND OVERLOOK
🏵️ Fā`fū Waşfaĥū – FORGIVE AND OVERLOOK
🏵️ Fā`fū Waşfaĥū – FORGIVE AND OVERLOOK

When someone hurts you with their words or actions remind yourself to “Fā`fū Waşfaĥū”!
When someone is trying to put you down remind yourself to “Fā`fū Waşfaĥū”!

For every hurt, every wrong, every bitter word, every unnecessary criticism that just pierces your heart from family, friends, loved ones, teachers or even someone who hates you… just keep uttering and remind yourself “Fā`fū Waşfaĥū” – Pardon and overlook!

Learn these ahadith and remember it every time you lose something of Duniya. Always remember how transient this duniya is. It will help you forgive, it will help you put things in perspective.

📚 Jabir ibn ‘Abdullah reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, passed through the market, entering from part of the high part of the city and the people were on both sides of him. He passed by a dead one-eared goat and reached out and took its ear. Then he said, “Who would like to buy this for a dirham?” They said, “Why would we want it when it is worthless? What would we do with it?” He said, “Would you like to have it?” “No,” they replied. He asked them that three times and they said, “No, by Allah! If it were alive, it would have a defect as it only has one ear. Why would we want it when it is dead?” The Prophet said, “By Allah, this world is less in the sight of Allah than this goat is to you.”
[Adaab Al Mufrad 962 | Sahih (Al-Albani)]

📚 ❝What is the example of this worldly life in comparison to the Hereafter other than one of you dipping his finger in the sea? Let him see what he brings forth.❞
– Prophet Muhammad صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
[Sahih Muslim 2858]

You want further encouragement?
If you forgive those who wrong you – ALLAH WILL LOVE YOU. When Allah is telling you He azza wa jal loves you what else do you want?

📚 ❝Who spend [in the cause of Allah ] during ease and hardship and who restrain anger and who pardon the people – and Allah loves the doers of good❞
{Surah Al Imran 3: Verse 134}

Allah loves you if you forgive people and hold back your anger. :'(
Allah is calling those who forgive – “Al Muhsineen”.

🤲 May Allah make you and I to be amongst the forgiving/ the Muhsineen slaves of His and may Allah allow us to taste the sweetness of that reward that Allah has promised us and may Allah write us amongst those He loves – ameen ya rabbi!
