Abu Sa’id reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
Death would be brought on the Day of Resurrection. in the form of a white-coloured ram. Then it would be made to stand between the Paradise and the Hell. And it would be said to the inmates of Paradise: Do you recognize this? They would raise up their necks and look towards it and say: Yes, ‘ it is death. Then it would be said to the inmates of Hell-Fire.. Do you recognize this? And they would raise up their necks and look and say: Yes, it is death. Then command would be given for slaughtering that and then it would be said: O inmates of Paradise, there is an everlasting life for you and no death. And then (addressing) to the inmates of the Hell-Fire, it would be said: O inmates of Hell-Fire, there is an everlasting living for you and no death. Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) then recited this verse pointing with his hand to this (material) world:
“Warn them, this Day of Regret, and when their affairs would be decided and they would be unmindful and they believe not” (19:39).

📛Characteristics of Hell
**Blazing Fire**
…fear the Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.
Surah Al Baqarah 2:24
Surely! Those who disbelieved in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) We shall burn them in Fire. As often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for other skins that they may taste the punishment. Truly, Allah is Ever Most Powerful, All-Wise.
Surah An Nisa 4:56
But as for him whose balance (of good deeds) will be light,
He will have his home in Hawiyah (pit, i.e. Hell).
And what will make you know what it is?
(It is) a hot blazing Fire!
Surah Al Qariah 101:8-11
**The least torment in Hell**
Nu’man b. Bashir reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Verily the least suffering for the inhabitants of Fire would be for him who would have two shoes and two laces of Fire (on his feet), and with these would boil his brain as boils the cooking vessel, and he would think that he would not see anyone in a more grievous torment than him, whereas he would be in the least torment.
Sahih Muslim 213 b
**Cursed in Hell**
Verily, those who disbelieve, and die while they are disbelievers, it is they on whom is the Curse of Allah and of the angels and of mankind, combined.
They will abide therein (under the curse in Hell), their punishment will neither be lightened, nor will they be reprieved.
Surah Al Baqarah 2:161-162
Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Scripture, who believe in superstition and false objects of worship and say about the disbelievers, “These are better guided than the believers as to the way”?
Those are the ones whom Allah has cursed; and he whom Allah curses – never will you find for him a helper.
Surah An Nisa 4:51-52
*Lowest Depths for Hypocrites**
“Verily, the hypocrites will be in the lowest depth (grade) of the Fire; no helper will you find for them”
Surah an-Nisa 4:145
**Boiling Water**
Then as for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut out for them, boiling water will be poured down over their heads.
With it will melt or vanish away what is within their bellies, as well as (their) skins.
And for them are hooked rods of iron (to punish them).
Every time they seek to get away therefrom, from anguish, they will be driven back therein, and (it will be) said to them: “Taste the torment of burning!”
Surah Al Haj 22:19-22
In front of him (every obstinate, arrogant dictator) is Hell, and he will be made to drink boiling, festering water.
Surah Ibrahim 14:16
This is Hell which the Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, sinners, etc.) denied.
They will go around between it and scalding water, heated [to the utmost degree].
Surah Ar Rahman 55:43-44
**Tree Of Zaqqum**
Is that (Paradise) better entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum (a horrible tree in Hell)?
For We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers.
Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire,
The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of Shayatin (devils);
Truly, they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith.
Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water.
Then thereafter, verily, their return is to the flaming fire of Hell.
Surah As Saffat 37:62-68
Verily, the tree of Zaqqum,
Will be the food of the sinners,
Like boiling oil, it will boil in the bellies,
Like the boiling of scalding water.
Surah Ad Dukhan 44:43-46
*No Second Chances for rejecters of faith”
And those who followed will say: “If only we had one more chance to return (to the worldly life), we would disown (declare ourselves as innocent from) them as they have disowned (declared themselves as innocent from) us.” Thus Allah will show them their deeds as regrets for them. And they will never get out of the Fire.
Surah Al Baqarah 2:167
As to those who reject Faith,- if they had everything on earth, and twice repeated, to give as ransom for the penalty of the Day of Judgment, it would never be accepted of them, theirs would be a grievous penalty.
They will long to get out of the Fire, but never will they get out therefrom, and theirs will be a lasting torment.
Surah Al Maidah 5:36-37
