The Incident on the Minbar
One day, the Messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, ascended the pulpit (minbar). As he climbed the steps, he said:
“Ameen.”
Then again: “Ameen.”
And a third time: “Ameen.”
The companions (رضي الله عنهم) were surprised. After the sermon, they asked him why he said Ameen three times.
The Prophet ﷺ explained that Jibreel (Angel Gabriel) came to him and made three du‘as — and the Prophet ﷺ said Ameen to each of them.

According to authentic narrations (Musnad Ahmad – Sahih), Jibreel said:
1️⃣ The One Who Misses Ramadan
“May he be humiliated, the person who reaches Ramadan and is not forgiven.”
The Prophet ﷺ said: Ameen.
Ramadan is a month of mercy and forgiveness. If someone witnesses this blessed month yet fails to repent and seek Allah’s forgiveness, it is truly a great loss.
2️⃣ The One Who Neglects Sending Salawat
“May he be humiliated, the one in whose presence you are mentioned and he does not send blessings upon you.”
The Prophet ﷺ said: Ameen.
Sending salawat (peace and blessings) upon the Prophet ﷺ is a sign of love and gratitude. It is a simple act that brings immense reward.
Allah says:
“Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet…”
(Surah Al-Ahzab 33:56)

“May he be humiliated, the one who finds his parents in old age — one or both — and does not enter Paradise (by serving them).”
The Prophet ﷺ said: Ameen.
